PROGRAMAS Y FECHAS DE INICIO

  • A1 Course Overview – Grammar Focus & Communication Goals

    Fecha: 4 de agosto de 2025


    Duración: 2 sesiones a la semana de 50 minutos durante 6 meses.


    Horarios: Lunes y Miércoles de 8pm a 8:50pm.


    Costo: $ 1,500 pesos al mes (en caso de requerir factura es más IVA)


    - Se entrega diploma del nivel adquirido.


    Grammar Focus


    Students will learn to understand and use the following:


    • Subject Pronouns (I, you, he, she, we, they)
    • Verb "to be" (affirmative, negative, and questions)
    • Verb "have got" (I have, she has got, etc.)
    • Present Simple Tense (positive, negative, and questions)
    • Question Words (what, where, who, when, how)
    • Articles (a, an, the)
    • There is / There are
    • Plural Nouns (regular and common irregular forms)
    • Possessiven ’s and Possessive Adjectives (my, your, his, etc.)
    • Prepositions of Place and Time (in, on, under, next to / at, in, on for time)
    • Countable and Uncountable Nouns (some, any, a/an)
    • Can / Can’t (for ability and permission)
    • Like / Love / Hate + Verb-ing (I like reading)
    • Be going to (for future plans)
    • Basic Modal Verbs (want to, need to)

    Communication Goals


    By the end of the course, A1 students will be able to:


    • Introduce themselves and give basic personal information
    • Ask and answer simple questions about daily life, work, family, and routines
    • Talk about likes, dislikes, hobbies, and free time
    • Describe their home, town, and people
    • Talk about what they have and what they need
    • Ask for and give basic directions
    • Order food and make simple purchases
    • Describe simple plans and intentions using “going to”
    • Write short messages, emails, or fill out forms with personal details
    • Understand basic instructions and classroom language
    • Follow simple conversations when people speak clearly and slowly

  • A2 Course Overview – Grammar Focus & Communication Goals

    Duración: 2 sesiones a la semana de 50 minutos durante 6 meses. 


    Horario: Martes y Jueves de 8pm a 8:50pm.

    Grammar Focus


    At the A2 level, students will strengthen their foundation and begin working with more complex structures:


    • Present Simple & Present Continuous (uses, contrasts)
    • Past Simple (regular and irregular verbs, questions and negatives)
    1. Future Forms:Going to (plans and intentions)
    2. Will (promises, decisions, predictions)
    • Comparative & Superlative Adjectives
    • Countable & Uncountable Nouns (much, many, some, any, a lot of, few, little)
    • Modals:
    1. Can / Could (ability, polite requests)
    2. Have to / Don’t have to / Must / Mustn’t (obligation and rules)
    3. Should / Shouldn’t (advice)
    • Past Time Expressions (yesterday, last week, ago, etc.)
    • Prepositions of Time & Place (expanded use)
    • Adverbs of Frequency & Manner
    • Verb + Infinitive / -ing (start to, like doing, want to, etc.)
    • Basic Sentence Linking (because, but, and, so, then)

    Communication Goals


    By the end of the A2 course, students will be able to:

    Talk in more detail about daily routines, habits, and free time

    Describe past experiences, such as trips, events, or weekends

    Make simple future plans and predictions

    Express likes, dislikes, and preferences with reasons

    Ask for and give opinions in simple terms

    Make and respond to invitations, offers, and polite requests

    Give directions and instructions

    Discuss food, shopping, clothing, and prices

    Talk about jobs, work routines, and responsibilities

    Describe personal goals and basic ambitions

    Write simple connected texts (emails, personal messages, short descriptions)

    Understand the main point in short, clear messages and announcements

    At the B1 level, students develop more control over tenses, sentence complexity, and nuance:

    • Present Simple vs. Present Continuous (for habits vs. current actions, and temporary vs. permanent)
    • Past Simple vs. Present Perfect (life experiences, recent events, completed actions)
    • Past Continuous (actions in progress in the past; interrupted actions)
    • Future Forms:
    • Will (predictions, spontaneous decisions)
    • Going to (intentions, evidence-based predictions)
    • Present Continuous (arranged future plans)
    • Used to / Would (for past habits and states)
    • First and Second Conditionals
    • Question Formation (indirect questions, embedded questions)
    • Reported Speech (statements and questions with simple tenses)
    • Modals for Advice, Necessity, Possibility:
    • Should / Ought to / Might / May / Must / Have to / Don’t have to / Can’t
    • Gerunds and Infinitives (verb patterns: want to go / enjoy reading / decide to travel)
    • Comparative Structures (much better than, not as ___ as, a bit more ___)
    • Relative Clauses (who, which, that)
    • Linkers for Cohesion: although, however, therefore, in addition, because of

    • By the end of the B1 course, students will be able to:
    • Maintain longer conversations and express opinions clearly
    • Compare and contrast experiences, products, and people
    • Describe hopes, goals, and future plans in more detail
    • Talk about past events, routines, and changes in habits
    • Express possibility, certainty, and give advice or suggestions
    • Handle practical situations while traveling, shopping, or dealing with services
    • Write emails, short reports, and narratives with clear organization
    • Discuss work, studies, or personal interests in more depth
    • Understand the main points of clear, standard speech on familiar matters
    • Deal with most situations likely to arise while traveling in an English-speaking area
    • Express feelings, preferences, and describe reactions to events or experiences

    At the B2 level, students gain flexibility and precision with more advanced structures:

    • All Present and Past Tenses in contrast and combination
    • Present Perfect Simple vs. Continuous
    • Past Perfect (narration, cause-effect in the past)
    • Future Forms (expanded use of will, going to, present continuous, future perfect, future continuous)
    • Mixed Conditionals
    • Passive Voice (all tenses, modals in passive: The report must be finished.)
    • Causatives (have/get something done)
    • Relative Clauses (defining, non-defining, with prepositions)
    • Modal Verbs for Speculation and Deduction
    • must have, might have, can’t have
    • Reported Speech (complex changes, reporting verbs: advise, suggest, promise, deny)
    • Inversion for Emphasis (Not only did he…, Rarely do we…)
    • Gerunds and Infinitives (advanced verb patterns and exceptions)
    • Phrasal Verbs (common and idiomatic multi-word verbs)
    • Complex Sentence Structures
    • Conditionals, concessive clauses (even though, although, despite), purpose and result clauses

    Communication Goals


    By the end of the B2 course, students will be able to:


    • Understand and participate in extended discussions on abstract or complex topics
    • Present and defend opinions clearly, supporting arguments with examples
    • Narrate experiences, describe events in detail, and speculate about outcomes
    • Compare and evaluate different viewpoints or options
    • Express degrees of certainty, obligation, advice, and criticism
    • Write well-organized texts: opinion essays, reports, reviews, and formal emails
    • Manage communication in both social and professional settings
    • Handle unfamiliar situations while traveling, studying, or working abroad
    • Understand the main ideas of complex texts (including some technical material)
    • Follow extended speech and most TV news, podcasts, or films in standard dialect
  • TOEFL Prep Course Overview – Skills Focus & Communication Goals

    Duración: 2 sesiones a la semana de 50 min durante 6 semanas.

    Skills Focus


    The TOEFL iBT evaluates students across four academic English skills: 


    Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. A prep course focuses on mastering:


    Reading


    • Skimming and scanning for main ideas and details
    • Understanding vocabulary in context
    • Identifying purpose, tone, and rhetorical structure
    • Recognizing reference words and transitions
    • Making inferences and drawing conclusions
    • Synthesizing ideas from multiple passages

    Listening


    • Identifying main ideas and supporting details in lectures and conversations
    • Understanding speaker attitudes, tone, and function
    • Taking effective notes
    • Recognizing transitions and logical organization
    • Distinguishing between essential and non-essential information
    • Following long academic lectures with complex information

    Speaking


    • Organizing and expressing ideas clearly under time pressure
    • Summarizing information from reading and/or listening (integrated tasks)
    • Developing and supporting opinions with examples
    • Using a range of vocabulary and grammatical structures
    • Improving fluency and pronunciation
    • Managing time effectively while speaking (45–60 seconds per answer)

    Writing


    • Writing clear, well-structured essays:
    • Integrated Essay (summarizing and comparing reading + lecture)
    • Independent Essay (arguing and supporting an opinion)
    • Using connectors and transitions
    • Paraphrasing and summarizing
    • Avoiding repetition and grammatical errors
    • Demonstrating academic tone and vocabulary
    • Planning, outlining, and revising under time limits

    Communication Goals


    By the end of the TOEFL prep course, students will be able to:


    • Understand and analyze academic reading and listening materials
    • Respond confidently to TOEFL-style speaking prompts with clear structure
    • Write essays that meet TOEFL scoring criteria (clarity, coherence, argument strength)
    • Take notes efficiently and use them in integrated tasks
    • Improve their TOEFL scores by applying test-taking strategies (time management, elimination techniques)
    • Feel confident engaging with English in academic and university contexts
    • Handle high-stakes exam situations with better focus and fluency
